We will be walking about 3/4 of a mile. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Santa Fe is hot and dry in the summer and can be cold and snowy in the winter. Please dress appropriately and bring bottled water with you.
Canyon Road is a historic area with uneven sidewalks. Many of the galleries have steps between interior rooms. If you have mobility restrictions, please contact us directly so that we can discuss options with you.

Elaina brings art and Santa Fe to life with an engaging style and expertise. The tour was thoughtfully tailored to her audience. If you ever thought art couldn’t be fun, you have to go on this tour and find out how wrong you’ve been.

Love Santa Fe Art Tours! We did Mary’s tour today and she has many interesting stories and art tidbits that drew me into the history of the area. As a local I’ve been through Canyon Road but felt a bit lost or intimidated about art and what galleries were which. I have a new appreciation for the area! Very professional and FUN! We were with visiting family and great to have a private tour.

Elaine was a knowledgeable guide. She knew her history and art and showed us about 5 different galleries with different types of paintings and 3D artwork. She was professional but was adept at pulling information from us regarding the paintings and taught us how to appreciate them better and understand what we were looking at. I would recommend her to anyone as it was an afternoon well spent. She also provided us with water because it was very hot!

Our guide Elaine was very knowledgeable, informative and engaging about the art and Canyon Road history. She adapted to us and what we were most interested in experiencing. She was very professional and humorous which made it fun when we had discussions about the art, artist and the mediums used. We were able to talk to some of the artists and ask questions. I would definitely participate in another tour and recommend Santa Fe Art Tours to anyone visiting Santa Fe.

Though we acknowledged we are art novices, Elaine was wonderfully informative and never "talked down" to us. She educated us in a professional, humorous, and welcoming way. Her personal connections with artists and gallery owners enhanced our experience and she tailored our gallery visits to our personal interests and upcoming activities in the Santa Fe Area. I would recommend this tour for anyone who spends more than a day in the area. Unforgettable!!

I've lived in Santa Fe for 3 years and only visited a few galleries. Honestly, there are so many it's hard to know where to begin. I thought this tour would give me the Cliff Notes version of the art scene in Santa Fe, but it was so much more. Elaine knew so much about the artists, the galleries, and the mediums they used. It's one thing to stop and evaluate a piece for a few seconds to see if it resonates with you, and something else to have a guided discussion about what you notice. By slowing down and really thinking about what's in front of you, you begin to appreciate it in a very different way. Thanks for the excellent tour Elaine!

Our tour guide was excellent and the Canyon Road Galleries were welcoming. We took the tour in the morning and went back in the afternoon to explore more. The tour is part art appreciation and part specific Canyon Road history. Unlike other art scenes, gallery owners are welcoming and non-judgmental. However, we would have missed so much and understood / appreciated so much less if we didn't take the tour. Definitely worth the cost and the amount of time was perfect.

The Santa Fe art scene is #2 to NYC, so we felt a little overwhelmed at just dropping into the Canyon Road galleries. No worries, people are very friendly!, but Elaine seems to know everyone and everything happening there and gave us a great introduction to a few special places. Going together as a group really added to the experience as we shared reactions to the art we experienced. Very highly recommended.
